Friday, March 10, 2006 Where: Sagamore Great Camp Sagamore and Plein Air Painter, Todd Plough, are hosting a Plein Air Paintout on August 20-24, 2006. Great Camp Sagamore is a non-profit organization that owns this National Historic Landmark. Guests are welcomed annually from Memorial Day through October. Sagamore dates from 1897. It was once a private retreat of the Vanderbilts. Now, it is used for environmental and educational purposes. Great Camp Sagamore rests in the heart of the Adirondacks on a lake completely surrounded by New York State "Forever Wild" Territory. The historic nature our buildings and peaceful wilderness surroundings provides a unique muse for any plein air painter.
Your stay includes meals (from Sunday night dinner until Thursday breakfast), accommodations, use of facilities (hiking trails, canoes, tennis court), and a historic tour of Great Camp Sagamore. Fee is as follows:
$400 per adult = double-triple occupancy room, shared bath add $80pp = single occupancy, shared bath add $116pp = double-quad occupancy, private bath add $156pp = single occupancy, private bath
