Dear artists,

The charming, historic town of Easton, Maryland is preparing to host it's second plein air competition and arts festival. This is a juried competition open to any artist residing in the United States. The event last year was a tremendous sucess among participating artists and collectors alike. Here are the particulars:

Deadline April 1

Second Annual PLEIN AIR – EASTON! A Painting Competition and Arts Festival , July 10-16, sponsored by Easton Main Street in historic small-town Easton, Maryland.

More than $10,000 in prizes, with exhibition/sale in accredited museum. The awards judge is Camille Przewodek, OPA.

$35/3 digital images. Juror: Kenn Backhaus, PAPA

40% commission.

In addition, we have a Quick Draw that is open to anybody!

Second Annual QUICK DRAW COMPETITION at PLEIN AIR – EASTON! A Painting Competition and Arts Festival sponsored by Easton Main Street in historic small-town Easton, Maryland.

ANY artist may participate for $10 registration fee. (You do not need to be a juried participant in the week long competition). Cash and product awards to winning artists with exhibition/sale of all participants paintings in the lovely gardens of the Historical Society immediately after the Quick Draw. Artists must paint, any medium, in a four block area in the downtown historical area from 2 PM – 4 PM July 15 .

Juror: Camille Przewodek, OPA

Artists last year found the town to be very hospitable and we again hope to offer either free or low-cost lodging to all artist who are juried into the main competition. In addition, we will have many activities geared to visiting artists and their guests.
