Second Annual QUICK DRAW COMPETITION at PLEIN AIR – EASTON! A Painting Competition and Arts Festival sponsored by Easton Main Street in historic small-town Easton, Maryland.

ANY artist may participate for $10 registration fee. (You do not need to be a juried participant in the week long competition). Cash and product awards to winning artists with exhibition/sale of all participants paintings in the lovely gardens of the Historical Society immediately after the Quick Draw. Artists must paint, any medium, in a four block area in the downtown historical area from 2 PM – 4 PM July 15 .

Attached is a call for entry for the juried Estes Park Plein Air 2006 Painting Competition and Exhibition. This is the fifth annual show and it is shaping up to be the best ever! The call for entry closes on April 15, 2006. This is one of the largest Plein Air painting events in the country. The main show events are held in beautiful Estes Park, Colorado (adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park). This area offers incredible subject matter, from high alpine to majestic canyons to urban scenes. Previous shows have included Artists from all over North America and Europe. We look forward to members of your group being a part of this show and demonstrating their talents to the world.

The painting event is 8/5-8/25/06, the opening day ceremonies, gallery receptions, and optional quick draw competition/live auction are on 8/26/06 and the gallery exhibition and sale is from 8/26-9/30/06. Great Camp Sagamore and Plein Air Painter, Todd Plough, are hosting a Plein
Air Paintout on August 20-24, 2006. Great Camp Sagamore is a non-profit
organization that owns this National Historic Landmark. Guests are welcomed
annually from Memorial Day through October. Sagamore dates from 1897. It
was once a private retreat of the Vanderbilts. Now, it is used for
environmental and educational purposes. Great Camp Sagamore rests in the
heart of the Adirondacks on a lake completely surrounded by New York State
"Forever Wild" Territory. The historic nature our buildings and peaceful
wilderness surroundings provides a unique muse for any plein air painter.

Your stay includes meals (from Sunday night dinner until Thursday
breakfast), accommodations, use of facilities (hiking trails, canoes, tennis
court), and a historic tour of Great Camp Sagamore. Fee is as follows:

$400 per adult = double-triple occupancy room, shared bath
add $80pp = single occupancy, shared bath
add $116pp = double-quad occupancy, private bath
add $156pp = single occupancy, private bath
